SOS Children's Villages Syria, a nonprofit, nongovernmental association that is committed to responding to the social development needs of society's most vulnerable children and young people. We establish facilities and programs that aim to strengthen families and prevent the abandonment of children. We join hands with community members to provide education, protection, and alternative care services. SOS Children's Villages Syria is a branch of the International Federation of Children's Villages, based in Austria and spread out in 136 countries worldwide. It was founded in Syria in 1975, and since then, we have been working to ensure that children and young people without parental care or at risk of losing it grow up with the needed support and care to become their strongest selves.
